Achimota Golf Club sets the year in motion with January Monthly Medal

The premier Achimota Golf Club has successfully set the year in motion with its January Monthly Medal. The event ended with a truckload of fun, exciting results, and great golfing.

 

The maiden medal in 2022 attracted a heavy field of golfers who battled the greens to earn a spot at the leaderboard.

 

When the day glided to a close, Steve Wood Betis broke from the pack after he shot a net score of 68 off handicap 12 to win in the Men Group A.

 

Meanwhile, John Gaba made some exciting incursions at the leaderboard but was one-shot away from the first placed winner.

 

Gaba shot a net score of 69 off handicap 11 for the second position while Martin Osei carded a net score of 72 off handicap 8 for the third place.

 

In the Ladies Group, newcomer Olivia Unicorn stayed in contention to lift the ultimate prize after she returned a net score of 67 off handicap 32.

 

Sarah J. Yang followed in the second place after shooting a net score of 73 off handicap 22 while Vastie Amoafo-Yeboah finished in the third position with a net score of 75 off handicap 16.

 

Ye Luau capped his roller-coaster round with medley of pars and birdies to register his name at the top of the leaderboard in the Men Group B. Luau finished the day’s campaign with a net score of 66 off handicap 14.

 

Selase Sachey shot a net score of 67 off handicap 26 for the second position while Jonathan Peltier finished in the third spot with a net score of 68 off handicap 24.
