The 2025 LCCE Golf Tournament held at the beautiful Takoradi Golf Club on November 7, 2025, was a resounding success, attracting a diverse group of golfers from across the country. This year’s tournament showcased not only individual prowess but also the spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork that the game embodies.
Leading the charge as the overall winner was Sadick Quainoo of the Nsuta Golf Club, who displayed remarkable skill to secure the title with an impressive score of 41 points (19 handicap). Quainoo’s performance set the tone for an exhilarating day on the greens.
In Men’s Group A, the competition was fierce, with Samuel Ghartey and Alex Afful, both from Nsuta Golf Club, finishing with identical scores of 37 points (13 and 09 handicaps, respectively). They were closely followed by Thomas Tamakloe of Takoradi Golf Club, who achieved an admirable 36 points (11 handicap).
Men’s Group B also highlighted exceptional talent, with Joseph Kusi-Tieku of Achimota Golf Club topping the leaderboard at 36 points (16 handicap). He was matched in score by Seth Addae from Takoradi Golf Club, whose performance earned him overall third place with 34 points (24 handicap).
The ladies’ division was fiercely competitive as well, with Naomi Opoku from Takoradi Golf Club emerging as the top player, accumulating 37 points (20 handicap). Following her were Philomena Sedo from Takoradi Golf Club, scoring 33 points (24 handicap), and Georgina Loupiac of Takoradi Sports Club, who secured third place with 32 points (20 handicap).
Senior players aimed for excellence, and Kwame Addo Kuffuor of Royal Golf Club stood out by earning 34 points (23 handicap) to claim first place. Close competitors included Philip Sackey and Kwame Peprah, both from Takoradi Golf Club, with scores of 34 points (24 handicap) and 32 points (19 handicap), respectively.
