Ghana hosts the rest of Africa for the 2018 All Africa Challenge trophy in August. The all ladies Golf Championship begins on Sunday August 26th and ends on Friday August 31st, 2018. The event is held every two years.
The Championship continues with the Ghana Ladies Open from Sunday September 2nd to Tuesday September 4th 2018 at the premier Achimota Golf Club; the newly designed PGA approved golf course.
Ghana won the bid to host the event during the previous gathering in 2016 in Tunisia. Participated countries were Burkina Faso, Botswana, Ghana, South Africa, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Togo, Gabon, Senegal, Mali, Kenya, Morocco, Uganda, Cote d’Ivoire, Tunisia and Zambia.
Due to the exciting reviews and huge attractions to the championships, participating countries in the AACT have shot up over the years to include 10 other countries on the continent.
The tournament is a unique assemble of incredible lady golfers from the continent and other parts of the world. It offers amazing networking, capacity building and learning opportunities for the participants.
The AACT has undoubtedly promoted tourism in host countries and established strong ties among lady golfers in Africa.
This year’s event is the 14th edition of the Championship which commenced in 1992.
