Vincent Torgah continued to surge on after day three of the 8th Gold Fields PGA Championship. The catch-me-if you can golfer, ended the third round on high notes where he gracefully extended his lead by 12-strokes.
He currently sits with complete comfort at the top of the leaderboard with a total 203 strokes after day three. This puts him in an almost untouchable position going into the final round tomorrow Saturday December 4.
Even though, Torgah carded course par 72 on day three; a run-of-the-mill result judging from his earlier two rounds scores, it was enough to keep him at the brim of the leaderboard.
Emos Korblah, ended day three at 75 and total 215 strokes; thereby erasing any hopes of him making any significant incursions going into the final round.
Defending champion Lucky Ayisah Annan, finished day three at 1-under par 71, for a total 215 strokes to settle for the 4th position while Maxwell Owusu-Bonsu churned out 75 strokes (218 total) to move down to the 4th position.
Final day tomorrow is less likely to cause any major shake to the leaderboard but will affirm Vincent Torgah’s ability to set a defining record at the flagship pro golf tournament in Ghana.
The 8th Edition of the annual Gold Fields PGA Golf Championship has over 40 professional and senior golfers participating.
