Celebrity Golf Club combined outstanding vigor and poise to submerge Tema Country Golf Club in a Matchplay on Saturday.
Several golfers from both clubs readied for the game with substantial expectations to win the dazzling cup at the Celebrity Golf Club.
When the dust finally settled, the host; Celebrity Golf Club capped an impressive 7.5 points against 4.5 points by Tema to smoothly cruise to victory.
With this remarkable win, Celebrity retains the Cup after delivering a similar feat in their last year encounter with the contingents from Tema Country Golf Club.
On Saturday, Captains from Celebrity and Tema; Geoffrey Avornyotse and Joe Nettey respectively played in their group from hole 1, where Celebrity Golf Club eventually won in that group.
In similar fashion, the two Competition Secretaries from Celebrity and Tema; Theodore Asampong and Asiedu Offei featured in a group from hole 10 that resulted in a win for Celebrity.
In all, Celebrity conquered seven groups while Tema stamped their authority in four of the groups. The two teams however shared the spotlight in one group for a final 7.5 to 4.5 points.
