Floria Hurtubise battled the fairways at the recent Accra Open in way she hasn’t experienced in a long time.
Floria who is not new to winning trophies on big stages in Ghana, had an entirely different encounter when she failed to make the cut after the first round at the Accra Open.
“I played so bad; I have never played such a score in like 5 years.” She said, adding “I was just not hitting fairways and the rough was quite thick, so I ended up not getting good scores”. Floria explained.
Floria shot a gross score of 101 (52 front and 49 back) and thereby missed the cut by one stroke.
Interestingly, Floria decided to join a two ball to play in a non-scoring format on day two when she went to drop off her son Rickie. Ironically, she ended up carding a net score of 75; 16 strokes off from the first day encounter.
