Barack Obama\u2019s rotation of golf course memberships continues to grow. The former president has accepted honorary membership at Beverly Country Club, located in Chicago\u2019s South Side, the Chicago Tribune reported.\u00a0 It\u2019s not even the first of Obama membership news in 2018.\u00a0Astros owner Jim Crane told a Fox TV reporter\u00a0in January that Obama and George W. Bush had become members at The Floridian National Golf Club in Palm City, Fla. <\/span><\/p>\n

Crane said he played with Obama and Tiger Woods at the club, which Crane\u00a0owns, in January.\u00a0 Obama played golf with Woods during his presidency \u2014 at the Floridian \u2014\u00a0\u00a0in 2013, the first time they had golfed together. At the time, Woods said of Obama,\u00a0“He’s got amazing touch.<\/span><\/p>\n

He can certainly chip and putt. If he ever spent \u2014 after these four years \u2014 spent more time playing the game of golf, I’m sure he could get to where he’s a pretty good stick.”<\/p>\n

Last year Jordan Spieth told The Late, Late Show<\/em> that he lost to Obama<\/a>, who drained a miraculous putt on the last hole in a two-on-two match.<\/p>\n

The Beverly membership news follows a list of memberships Obama has taken on since leaving office. Last year the Washingtonian<\/em> reported<\/a> Obama had become a member at the Army Navy Country Club and was also a member at Columbia Country Club in Chevy Chase, Md., and\u00a0Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Va.<\/p>\n

Obama\u2019s newest club is a Donald Ross course with a strong history that includes Western Opens won by Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer.<\/p>\n

The course is a former top 100 member on\u00a0Golfweek\u2018s<\/em>\u00a0Best Classic Courses list.<\/p>\n

As the Tribune<\/em>\u00a0points out, Beverly is known as a diverse club, with various ethnicities, races, faiths and political parties in the makeup.<\/p>\n

With the honorary membership arrangement, Obama won\u2019t have to pay an initiation fee or dues. Apparently he has also requested locker 44 at the club.<\/p>\n

When it comes to acquiring golf course memberships, it\u2019s not a bad idea to be a former president.<\/p>\n
