{"id":2984,"date":"2018-09-17T17:18:48","date_gmt":"2018-09-17T17:18:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thebureaugh.com\/addons\/thegolferonline.com\/golfer\/?p=2984"},"modified":"2018-09-17T17:18:48","modified_gmt":"2018-09-17T17:18:48","slug":"tropical-cable-classic-golf-tournament-in-classic-finish","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thegolferonline.com\/golf\/blog\/2018\/09\/17\/tropical-cable-classic-golf-tournament-in-classic-finish\/","title":{"rendered":"Tropical Cable Classic Golf Tournament in classic finish"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 2018 Tropical Cable Classic Golf Tournament lived up to the billing after it ended in a classic finish\u00a0 at the serene Tema Country Golf Club.<\/p>\n<p>The contest attracted close to 100 golfers and impressive line-up of media gallery.<\/p>\n<p>In a pleasant atmosphere, Augustine Manasseh worked the greens and took charge of the tough field to win in the Men\u00a0 Group A.<\/p>\n<p>Playing off handicap 6, Augustine finished on 42 Stableford points after a struggle on the front nine resulted in a four-over.<\/p>\n<p>However, Augustine geared up his game and kept the pace for a four-under on the back nine.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Prince Egyiri finished in second place after he shot same 42 Stableford points but was separated on countback.\u00a0 Prince played off handicap 3.<\/p>\n<p>In third place was Samuel Tetteh for 41 Stableford points off handicap 8, while Justice Fiavor ended his campaign on 20 off 8 for the fourth spot.<\/p>\n<p>In the Men Group B, Philip Serse, led the pack on 37 Stableford points for the first position after beating into second place Felix Akuaboah who ended on 36 Stableford points.<\/p>\n<p>Robert Tang closed with same 36 Stableford points but was separated on countback for the third place.<\/p>\n<p>In the Ladies Group A, Grace Afriyie steered clear of the chasing pack on 39 Stableford points off handicap 9 for a defining victory.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy game was fantastic. I played as though I am a professional\u201d. Grace excitedly told TheGolfer Online.<\/p>\n<p>Leticia Amponsah-Mensah followed in second place on Stableford points of 36 off handicap 10. The ever-green Mona Captan-Lamptey stayed in the mix for a third place-finish after returning same 36 Stableford points.<\/p>\n<p>Gladys Awuni stayed in contention to finish atop in the Ladies Group B.
