Phil Mickelson is going to be sitting out the entire day, while American captain Jim Furyk<\/a> has shuffled the deck and benched Patrick Reed<\/a> and Rickie Fowler<\/a> \u2026 and not without reason.<\/p>\n The hero of America\u2019s victory two years ago is nowhere to be found this year. Patrick Reed has gotten whipped by Fleetwood and Molinari, and appears lost and confused playing alongside Woods. Whether it\u2019s the European crowds getting to him, the ongoing slump he\u2019s suffering, or the fact that he\u2019s most definitely not the top dog in his pairing, Reed\u2019s not anywhere close to top form.<\/p>\n Pretty much the only player with any kind of spark on Saturday morning was Justin Thomas, who drained putt after key putt to keep his match going long after all other American teams were cashed.
