{"id":3388,"date":"2018-12-10T06:51:31","date_gmt":"2018-12-10T06:51:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thebureaugh.com\/addons\/thegolferonline.com\/golfer\/?p=3388"},"modified":"2025-07-06T13:21:30","modified_gmt":"2025-07-06T13:21:30","slug":"vodafone-delivers-truckload-of-delightful-experience-at-tafo-open","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thegolferonline.com\/golf\/blog\/2018\/12\/10\/vodafone-delivers-truckload-of-delightful-experience-at-tafo-open\/","title":{"rendered":"Vodafone delivers truckload of delightful experience at Tafo Open"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">Vodafone delivered a truckload of pleasant experience by pulling off a successful tournament during the just ended 23rd Vodafone Tafo Open.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">The two-day event took place at the CRIG Golf Course which boasts of lush fairways and caringly manicured greens. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">The biggest attraction however was the assemble of by far the most amply line-up of A-list business executives and high-profile individuals in any tournament. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">It included Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin; Okyenhene of Akyem Abuakwa and Mr. Prince Kofi Amoabeng; a Ghanaian business man. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">In fact, when I enquired from TheGolfer Online representative, Felix Gborglah, about how the event was churning out; his immediate response was that; \u201cthere are a lot of big men playing\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">\u00a0On such an event, Samuel Gyekye put himself in prime position for a resounding victory, after returning a net score of 137; 4-shots ahead of the field in the Men Group A.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">Samuel achieved this feat by producing a masterclass of mid-range putting as well as deliberate efforts at hitting the fairways. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">Frank Kumako followed in\u00a0 second place on a net score of 141 while Kofi Nkansah stayed in a yawning distant at 147 for the third spot. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">Meanwhile George Amoah carded a net score of 148 to perch on the fourth position. <\/span><\/p>\n\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">Similarly, in the Ladies Group A, Felicity Ogyeabour walked off with a stunning trophy after closing ahead on a net score of 165.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">Constance Awuni rolled out exciting putts to stay in contention for a second-place finish on a net score of 168.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">Achimota\u2019s Jessica Tei managed her game to conclude her campaign at a net score of 174 to settle at third place. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">In the Men Group B, Kofi Yeboah quietly worked the greens to set himself up for a delicious success after returning a net score of 145 over the two days.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">Peter Daglo maintained some consistency to follow in second place at a net score of 148 while Christopher Mbii closed at a net score of 149 to claim the third position. <\/span><\/p>\n\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">In similar fashion, Pamela Atila recorded a net score of 142\u00a0 to finish atop the leaderboard in the Ladies Group B after edging Vastie Yeboah-Amoafo into second place on a net score of 164.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">Director of Finance at Vodafone Ghana, Mr Samuel Kofi Nkansah, applauded the golfers for the sportsmanship which they considerably demonstrated during the Open. <\/span><\/p>\n\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">He assured the golfers that, Vodafone Ghana would always offer uninterrupted and high-end services to their customers .<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">Mr Daniel Nii Ashitey, Captain of the Tafo Golf Club, confided that the club would from next year introduce youth and professional events to encourage broader participation in the Open.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">The Open was supported by Omnifert.
