The maiden Beyond End of Season Golf Invitational concluded successfully at the Crystal Lake Golf Club at Lakeville in Minnesota, USA. The organizers treated golfers and their guests to a private hole-19 party after the tournament.

Collins Oppong, known in social circles as Mr. Beyond, reiterated that organizing the golf tournament was his way of bringing together diverse golfers from the African community and their partners to compete, enjoy the game, and network with one another.
“Golf provides a wonderful opportunity to experience nature, exercise, connect with your inner self and temperance, network with diverse people, and create fun memories for all”. He said.
Mr. Beyond observed that most Africans living in the diaspora could experience more relaxed, fun, and less boring lives if they incorporated golf into their activities. He noted that golf is more of a self-care adventure that helps the individual to effectively disconnect from the stress of everyday life and live in the moment during a round of golf.
Participants of the invitational described as unique the golf experience delivered by Beyond Media Solutions. The Invitational also supported a charity organization; Circle of Life which donates sanitary pads to rural girls in Africa so girls can stay in school.
“What better things to do on a Saturday afternoon in Minnesota than come into golf with fellow Africans and then support a worthy cause? That’s what brings me out”. said Isaac Kwesi Mensah
Also sharing his opinion, George Mburu, the Best Gross Score winner, believed that, this network of African golfers can nurture the young ones and further challenge themselves to get the young ones into the game.
After the successful debut of the Beyond End of Season Golf Tournament, the future indeed is exciting and organizers of the Invitational are planning to deliver another tournament next year that will not only assembly a contingent of African golfers in Minnesota, but also focus on introducing golf to juniors along the way; as golf is a great pillar for character building for children.
Meanwhile, during the after-party, prizes were presented to deserving winners, while golfers and guests were treated to music, good food, drinks, and a music performance by Carolyne Naomi.
Among the partners who supported the event were the United People Apparel, Minneapolis Health Clinic, Dominic’s Tax Services, Global Fatherhood Foundation, Circle of Life, and TheGolfer Online.
