As Covid-19 goes on hitting every part of the world, Kenya has not been left behind and strict measures have been put up by the Government to try reducing the spread. Many operations have been affected and closed down or operating but keeping and following the government directives as advised strictly.
Schools in Kenya have been closed till next year, Migaa Golf Club under the leadership of Mr. Dickson Wanjohi the General Manager has seen the need to keep children busy by undertaking a Juniors’ clinic themed MIGAA JUNIOR ACADEMY.
The club invites kids to come learn how to play golf under coaching of a Professional golfer Mr. Stephen Karanja who has a passion of coaching kids and beginners. This has inspired many parents bring their kids to Migaa golf club; which is one of the newest golf courses in Kenya and prides of a challenging course; a course which has the beauty like none other and with kikuyu grass fairways and Bermuda grass greens.
The Juniors from day one are coached from the scratch on how to hold the clubs, how to hit the balls (the swing) and all that pertains to a good play in the course including bunkers and putting. Pro Karanja is in full charge.
The golf club is privately owned and welcomes people to become members who in turn enjoy the lucrative services. The Children who come for the clinic have come to love golf sport so much that they want to play golf every day though the clinics are done on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Best part of it is that kids of non-golfing parents bring kids to be coached and the results have been amazing. This might bring in a Tiger woods from Kenya.
To parents, next time you desire to enjoy your day with your kids, come to Migaa golf club with your kid who will enjoy the entire day. Migaa is the place to play next time.
The club has taken this initiative to keep all busy at this trying time while keeping the Country together and grow the game…
