The 2019 MTN Invitational Golf Tournament graced the remarkable Ankobra Country and Golf Club in Bogoso on Saturday April 13.
Being the first time that the Invitational was visiting Bogoso, MTN, left nothing to chance as it delivered a truly exciting golf experience for the participants.
When it counted most, Elijah Dennis stood tall in the Men Group A (handicap 0 – 9) after carding 40 points; one-shot ahead of his closest contender, Yaw Anarf who recorded 39 points to finish in the second spot.
Forster Korang, stayed in the mix for third place finish on same 39 points but was separated on countback.
In the Men Group B which comprised handicaps 10 – 17, Frank Nsor, maintained his poise to register his name on the leaderboard as winner after returning 42 points.
Frank edged into second position, Isaac Blanney who ended the day on 39 points. Eshun Moses followed closely on 38 points for the third position.
In the Men Group C (Handicap 18 – 24), Vincent Cardin took charge of his game and the course to emerge winner on 34 points while Isaac Addae, stayed one point apart for second place on 33 points.
Martin Cochrane churned out 30 points to finish in the third position.
In similar fashion, Lady Captain of the Club, Floria Hurtubise affirmed her dominance in the game with yet another thrilling win after delivering 38 points in the Ladies Group A (Handicap 0 -21)
Agnes Adams however, followed in second place on 35 points.
Francisca Ackah, playing in the Ladies Group B (Handicap 22 – 36) came atop the leaderboard on 29 points followed by Ruby Sanbah who rolled out 25 points to secure the second spot.
MTN presented high value MTN devices, goodies as well as dazzling trophies to all deserving winners.
In his remarks, Mr. Mohammed Tiyuniba, the MTN Acting Regional Senior Manager for South West Business, reiterated that, this year has been declared “Year of the Customer” and therefore reassured the golfers that, MTN is taking a lot of steps to delight its customers with services that will brighten their lives even better.
