Samuel Njoroge of Railways Golf Club won the Karen Challenge; an open competition, 54 holes strokeplay which was played last weekend at the par 72 Karen Country club.
The Tournament which was the eleventh leg of Kenya Amateur Golf Championship is open to Handicaps 12 and under and the event carries Kenya Golf Union golfer of the year points.
The Karen event saw golfers play three (3) rounds of 54 holes in the two day event that started on Saturday with two rounds of play and the last on Sunday.
Njoroge played five over par 221 in the three rounds of 54 holes to claim back to back title following. Njoroge was also the winner a fortnight ago during the Nyanza open played at Nyanza Golf Club.
He beat Reuben Njoroge of Karen Golf and Country Club with one shot . Reuben had six over par 222.
Second runners up was Mike Kisia from Vetlab Sports Club who finished with seven over par 223.
John Karichu from Limuru Golf Club was forth and Moses Kisia fifth as Paul Muchangi the defending champion placed 6th with 228.
