Last weekend was yet another splendid golf day at the par 72 striking and challenging Ruiru Sports Club golf course when OXYGENE COMMUNICATIONS and TROPICAL BRANDS sponsored another tournament at the club for the 3rd time.
The tournament was well attended hosting 157 golfers in singles stableford competition. Mr. Mutahi Mureithi represented OXYGENE COMMUNICATIONS.
During the prizes presentation Mr. Mureithi said he was pleased to be back again at the Club and he would sponsor another tournament in the near future as he was happy to intermingle with the club.
Kanyi B. H/C 24 playing 47 points was the overall winner and Ndungu Ben H/C 9 playing 41 points was the Men winner. Mutegi P. playing H/C 24 and scoring 41 points was the R/UP. Chege Dominic H/C 18 scoring 40 points was Men 3rd.
Kiragu Tabitha H/C 28 scored 45 points to emerge the Ladies winner beating Wambui Catherine H/C 18 who shot 38 points. Kamau Winnie H/C 23 was 3rd playing 37 points and she also took the nearest to the pin Ladies medal while Mworia Esther H/C 24 playing 36 points was Lady 4th.

Muchiri Kinyua H/C 16 playing 24 points was the 1st nine winner and Chris Andrea a product of Charles Farrar Foundation playing single H/C 3 and shooting 22 points emerged the 2nd nine winner. Mutahi Mureithi H/C 15 and shooting 30 points was the tournament sponsor’s winner. The guest winner was Ngethe E H/C 28 who shot 37 points.

The media winner was the famous Kwalande Tony of K24 TV the presenter of sports hub. Tony H/C 18 shot 32 points. Nearest to the pin Men winner was Kihiu G. Longest drive Men was won by Njuguna SG and the Ladies was taken by Wainaina Teresia.
Juniors were also competing in the tournament and Ngugi Alex was the Junior’s winner. Alex was playing in the company of single handicaps Omondi B H/C 3 Andrea Chris H/C 3 and Munyua Frank H/C 7. The R/UP junior was Mwangi Kyle.
