The MTN CEO Invitational Golf Tournament has ended at the premier Achimota Golf Club in Accra, Ghana with exciting outcomes. The occasion brought together golfers from across the country who competed for honors in the various categories.
The MTN Invitational tournaments, according to the organizers are targeted at high value subscribers, for which reason they attach so much importance to it.
The telecommunication giant presented sleek trophies and gifts to winners in all the categories. The one-day event also attracted a bevy of other CEOs and business owners who graced the occasion.
Kofi Dickson in the end ignited the Men Group A for a defining win. He shot to a Stableford points of 39 off handicap 13. Dickson made some good attempts at birdies but had to mostly settle for a flood of pars and some bogeys for his victory.
Kwaku Ofosuhene shot to the same 39 Stableford points off handicap 14 but was separated on countback for the second position.
Playing off handicap 8, Carl Brew Aidoo returned a Stableford points of 38 for a third-place finish whiles Kwesi Amoafo Yeboah shot to a Stableford points of 37 off handicap 12 to finish in the fourth position.
Meanwhile, in the Ladies Group A, Jessica Tei grabbed a commanding four-shot lead to finish atop the leaderboard. The impressive lady golfer ended the campaign on a Stableford points of 39 off a single handicap of 5.
Leticia Amponsah Mensah made a considerable good run in the Group for a second place on a Stableford points of 34 off handicap 10.
The Invitational, since its inception some nine years ago continues to churn out outstanding golf events across the country. The premier Achimota Golf Club hosted the event for the first time which also coincided with the leadership of the newly appointed CEO of MTN Ghana, Selorm Adadevoh.
