Yaw Afriyie rallied the Men Group B to grab the first spot during the MTN CEO Invitational tournament at the premier Achimota Golf Club. Afriyie scored to 41 Stableford points off handicap 24 at the event that attracted a fine selection of golfers and CEOs across the country.
Ben Gustav Barth followed in second place on a Stableford points of 39 off handicap 21.
Charles Asante shot to a Stableford points of 37 off 21 for the third-place finish while Ben Adu Owusu returned same score of 37 off handicap 17 but was separated on countback to finish in the fourth place.
Meanwhile, Agnes Adams stayed in contention to win in the Ladies Group B after she returned a Stableford score of 38 off handicap 24.
MTN was very generous with their prize giveaways which included sleek and dazzling trophies as well as souvenirs for all deserving winners.
The telecommunication giant even extended their goodwill by providing complimentary Spa session for a section of golfers to indulge in gliding sensation that melted away muscle tension, reduced stress and promoted healing.
The Invitational, the first to be staged at the Achimota Golf Club after its ninth-year inception, also coincided with the appointment of the new CEO of MTN, Selorm Adadevoh.
Speaking at the event, Adadevoh expressed delight at the success of the event and congratulated the winners. He maintained that, the MTN CEO Invitational is aimed at their high value subscribers, and they as a company will continue to attach the importance the tournament deserves.
Other peripheral winners on the day included Kanwal Bajwa for the Longest Drive in the Men category while Vivian Dick grabbed the Longest Drive in the Ladies category.
Frank Tackie received a prize for the Closest to the Pin in the Men category whereas Joy Arkutu won the Closest to the Pin in the Ladies category.
