Vincent Torgah extends his lead to 12-under par after 54 Holes, leaving Olapade in the hunt

Ghana’s VINCENT TORGAH extended his lead to -12 under after the third round of the EKO CHALLENGE CUP, at the Lakowe Lake’s Golf Course.

The Ghanaian returned a 68 ( -4 ) under par,  his third consecutive round under course par, having carded 69 / 67 /68 from his first, second,  and third round respectively leading his closest contender Nigeria’s Sunday Olapade who is five shots behind.

The Ghanaian  opened his round with a birdie on the 10th and 11th hole and maintained at par until he the 16th  where he made a bogey but covered up with a birdie on the next hole 17th and a par on 18th which saw him finish his first nine holes at -2 under par (34), before moving on to the front nine where he made all pars from holes 1 to 8 where he nabbed another birdie and a par on the 18th closed the day for him at -4 under.

Meanwhile his closest rival on course SUNDAY OLAPADE maintained a good form returning a 69 (-3) to go (-7  under ) par, the Nigerian had a round that featured 4 birdies, a bogey and 13 pars to keep him at the second spot with a score of / 70 / 70 / 69 /  totaling (-7) under par from his last three rounds respectively.

Meanwhile EMOS KOBLARH moved a spot up the leaderboard to third place after carding a 71 (-1)under par on day three to stay at (-3) under par, beating day one leader Christopher Ambe by one stroke.

Zimbabwean VISITOR MAPWANYA shot a course record 64 (-8) during the second round and went on to record 75 (+3) in the third round which moved him to 5th place.  

While SUNDAY ODEGHA secured the sixth spot at +2 over par, Cameroonian PRIESTLY NJI and FRANCESCO PEREZ of Spain are tied at 7th place at +3 over par in 54 holes.
