It was a memorable moment for Frank Munyuah, a 6 handicapper now playing off handicap 5 who emerged the winner in the September 2018 Monthly Mug at the challenging par 72 Ruiru golf course.
Frank shot a net of 68 points beating Stanley Kingara the runner up who scored 69 net off handicap 23.
Thomas Mwaura also scored 69 points playing off handicap 20 but was separated on countback for the third place.
Fr. J Kinuthia playing off handicap 25 scored a net of 69 points to stay in the fourth position.
Jane Kaniaru was the Ladies winner with a net score of 66 points off handicap 30. The Guest winner was Brig. Mohammed handicap 24 of Thika sports club scoring 71 points.
The competition format was Singles Stroke play (medal) competition.
During the competition Thagichu Kiiru handicap 18 of Kiambu golf club had a hole-in-one.
Speaking after the completion Frank said he is prepared to defend the title come next month.
